Preferred Mutual Insurance Company (“Preferred Mutual”) employees volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House of Charities® of Central New York (“Ronald McDonald House Charities® of CNY”) in Syracuse, NY on Friday, May 12. A group of Preferred Mutual volunteers prepared homemade lasagna for dinner for the families currently staying in the house, while other volunteers assisted with cleaning the house and surrounding exterior, including sweeping the parking area, collecting discarded trash from the grass areas and sidewalks around the house, cleaning windows and window sills on all levels of the house, and cleaning the kitchen area. Prior to volunteering on May 12, Preferred Mutual employees organized an office-wide collection of aluminum pop tabs, which are easily recyclable and in large numbers serve as a source of charitable revenue for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY.
