Preferred Mutual Sponsors the 7th Annual STOP-DWI Baseball Classic

Preferred Mutual Insurance Company (“Preferred Mutual”) is a proud sponsor of the  7th Annual STOP-DWI High School Baseball Classic (“Classic”). The Classic serves to raise awareness on the dangers of drunk, drugged and distracted driving amongst teenagers, and is held in conjunction with Oneida County’s STOP-DWI Teen Traffic Safety Education Program and New York’s statewide “No Empty Chair” campaign.

Ten Oneida County high school baseball teams take part in the Classic, and the teams receive traffic safety education sessions and vehicle roll-over demonstrations prior to each game.

The Classic is just one event within the week-long Oneida County STOP-DWI’s Teen Traffic Safety Education Program. The program features guest speakers and exhibits in order to help educate students on the dangers of making destructive decisions.
