What is the Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program?
The Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program provides New York and Massachusetts personal auto insurance customers a 15% credit on two months of insurance premiums.
Why are you doing this?
These are difficult times. But you are not alone! Preferred Mutual is there for you, steadfast in our goal to help customers Live Assured, especially during this time of uncertainty. Together with our other ongoing initiatives to help those experiencing financial difficulty due to COVID-19, the Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program should help ease some of the financial strain many are experiencing.
Who is eligible for the Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program?
The program applies to New York and Massachusetts personal auto policyholders as of April 30, 2020.
What do I need to do, or provide, in order to receive the credit?
Nothing! No action is needed to receive the credit; policyholders will automatically receive their 15% premium credit via check in the coming weeks.
Will I get a credit if I have already paid in full?
Yes, as long as you are an active personal auto policyholder on April 30, 2020 you will receive a credit.
What if I can’t pay my bill?
The Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program provides a credit for 15% credit on two months of insurance premiums, even if you are unable to pay your bill due to COVID-19. We also have many alternative payment options* available. Please call our Customer Service Team at 1-800-333-7642 to find an option to fit your needs.
* State guidelines may apply.
How will I receive the credit?
Customers will be mailed a check for their 15% premium credit.
When will I receive my check?
We are working with state insurance departments for approval, and we estimate that the Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program Checks should arrive by Mid-May.
What if I didn’t receive my check?
If you haven’t received your check by the beginning of June, please call Customer Service at 1-800-333-7642.
Will this affect my rates?
No. The Stay Home, Stay Assured Auto Program credit will not be used in assessing future rates.
