Michael (Mike) DeHetre was recently appointed Senior Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer for Preferred Mutual Insurance Company.

Mike brings nearly three decades of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience and leadership to help drive profitable growth strategies and product development. He is responsible for providing leadership and strategic vision to the underwriting team, product development initiatives and to Preferred Mutual’s ongoing growth and profitability initiatives. As a member of the Senior Executive Team, he oversees the continued implementation of the company’s strategic plan, with focus on the strategic objective to Advance Small Commercial Business and Product. 

Mike will also help develop and implement best practices that will advance Preferred's underwriting processes and solution-oriented approaches with our agency partners and product solutions so our policyholders can Live Assured.
