Ron Martin Appointed Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs

Preferred Mutual is pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Martin as Vice President, Government and Industry Affairs, effective August 1, 2026. In his new role, Ron will focus exclusively on advancing the company’s government affairs strategy and supporting its strategic priorities through advocacy and strong relationships with state regulators, legislators, trade groups, agents and other industry stakeholders.

Throughout his 40 years with Preferred Mutual, Ron has held positions of increasing responsibility across the organization, including roles within Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Research and Development. He most recently served as Vice President, Business Compliance & Research and has developed extensive expertise in insurance regulations and business compliance. In 2024, Ron received Big I New York’s Thom McDaniel Exemplar Award in recognition of his service and contributions to the insurance industry. 

Ron’s depth of industry knowledge and longstanding relationships will continue to support Preferred Mutual’s strategic priorities in this focused leadership role.
